Scientists are continuing their fight against cancer by devising new technologies to help eliminate the deadly disease, the latest promising technique invented by researchers from the University of California, USA.
Researchers at the university have developed a technique in which they hope to eliminate cancer, using "membrane artificial organelles," which simulate the mechanism of action of the thymus, the organ in which T lymphocytes develop from stem cells.
And cellular organisms or membrane bites, are the parts or organisms found in the cytoplasm of the eukaryotic cell.
Scientists have developed a technique that converts stem cells into lymphocytes capable of killing tumors.
Lymphocytes represent the basis of the immune system that is resistant to infection and has the ability to destroy cancer cells.
The ability to generate such stem cells from self-renewing stem cells via technology will provide a new way to provide immunotherapy for cancer, according to the study, published in the journal Cell Stem Cell.
In their study, researchers said their findings could be used to treat serious diseases, as well as cancer, such as AIDS and those associated with the immune system.
One of the advantages of revolutionary technology is their ability to integrate with gene-editing methods to create large lymphocytes that can be used with a large number of patients, eliminating the need for the patient's own lymphocytes and reducing the therapeutic costs.
