A historical precedent in Britain .. Mother gives birth to two children in two weeks

While Vicki Green is fond of her newborn twins, she can not imagine that she entered history by birth. The 32-year-old woman has placed two children separated by nearly two weeks, according to the British Daily Mail.
Green placed her baby Presley at 800 grams in the 26th week of pregnancy, but the so-called birthmark stopped to keep her twin sister Paisley for 12 days before undergoing a caesarean section to bring the baby to life weighing 1.3 kg.

The birth rate was the longest in twins in England.

"I did not believe it when one of the children was born and the other stayed inside," the mother said when she returned from the hospital: "I just had to hope and pray for them to stay alive."

Green, who works as a teaching assistant at a school for people with special needs in Manchester, and her husband Darren Bradshaw discovered she was pregnant just four weeks before she was born.

"My menstrual cycle stopped," she said. "But I thought it was because of stress. I had a pregnancy test, but another surprise was waiting for me when I was exposed to radiation. I found out I was pregnant with twins."

Green had only two weeks to get used to twins before giving birth prematurely.

"I could not believe it, I did not notice any unusual intestines," the British woman said. "The doctors said the reason was that both the twins were lying on their backs facing a vertebral column."

After the birth of the first child who needed special care because he was underweight, the uterus contractions stopped at Green, so the doctors decided to wait until the other birth was normal.

But after Green suffered a life threatening infection, doctors decided to resort to cesarean delivery and to remove the baby Paisley after 12 days.

The twins stayed in hospital for five months before being allowed to return home after they became healthy.
