Causes of Vaginitis and Preventive Measure
Vaginitis is the same cause of urinary tract infections.
Here are the causes of vaginitis and preventive measures:
Causes of Vaginitis
• Sexual relations, especially those intensive relations and repeated after a period of abstention. This phenomenon is described as "cystitis honeymoon".
• Some women who use vaginal insulation as a means of contraception, which press the urethra and block the bladder emptying completely, which facilitates bladder infection.
• After going to the toilet and trying to clean the vulva area from the back to the front with sanitary paper (tissue paper), as this is a dangerous factor. The movement must always be from the front to the back, so that the urethra does not contaminate the bacteria in the anus. Furthermore, you should always clean the anal area and genital area carefully and regularly, to help combat the spread of bacteria.
• In some women, the use of "spermicides" may cause inflammation in the urethra.
• The period of the menstrual cycle is a period of risk factor for women, as blood on the towel or tampon, is an ideal environment conducive to bacteria. Hence, these tools should not be kept for long periods of time.
Basic preventive measures
• The best way for young girls and women to prevent urinary tract infections is to try to clean the genital area and the anal area with water, and then the sanitary paper after going to the toilet and urinating, in a forward-backward way.
• Urination immediately after sex.
• Cleaning the anal and vaginal area on a daily basis, but it is not recommended to clean "aggressive" severe, because it weakens mucous membranes.
• Avoid as much as possible the use of products, such as deodorant (sensitive area irritants and vaginal douches) in the genital area, as well as oils and foam in the bathroom, which may irritate the urethral lining. These symptoms may cause something like urinary tract infection. If you want to use any product for the sensitive area, make sure it does not cause irritation, and choose products with neutral pH.
• Use a condom that contains a type of lubrication, because it causes less irritation to the genitals, and do not deteriorate in the addition of some generation lubricant as well.
• In the case of dry vagina, it is recommended to use lubricants that dissolve in water during the sexual relationship, to avoid irritation of the area.
• In the event of repeated infection and inflammation due to the use of vaginal insulation, it is recommended to change the contraceptive.
