A British teenager was hit by a coma for 4 days. When she woke up, the surprise was when the doctors told her that she gave birth to a baby even though she did not know she was pregnant.

Abony Stevenson, 18, had decided to sleep early because of a severe headache and woke up to find herself in a hospital in Manchester, northwest England.

The doctors told her that she had been in a coma for four days and that she gave birth to a baby on the second day with a caesarean section, the Daily Mail reported.

Stevenson said she did not know she was pregnant because there was no belly bulge and did not suffer from a period of interruption due to a rare condition that affects one in 3,000 women.

The newspaper said the girl was a happy surprise for Stevenson, who called her "friendly".

"I did not even think about having children until at least 10 years. I never expected to be a little mother of that age," Stevenson said. "The fact that I woke up from my coma and told me that I was pregnant and had a baby was an incredible event for me."
